How to Find Wholesale Business Suppliers

If you mean how to find wholesale supply businesses, then I have some basic tips to help you find wholesale supplier on the Internet. Keep in mind that true wholesale companies do not always advertise on the Internet and nor are many really concerned with an Internet presence. What I’m getting at is that if you confine your search only to the Internet, you may limit your results. All right, then, so how can we set about finding real wholesale businesses by using the Internet? Rean on . . .

My first tip for finding any source for wholesale goods is to know what product or product line you want to sell. That may sound obvious, but that is really important. If you don’t already have a specific product in mind, then take the time to determine your product.

The tips. Here are the tips:

  1. Search the Yahoo! Directory for your wholesale product line. Use search terms such as wholesale suppliers + product, wholesale + product, wholesale distributors + product. You may need to refine the search by searching under business to business categories.
  2. Search the DMOZ Open Directory for wholesale suppliers. Follow the same guidelines mentioned above. Vary your search terms.
  3. Search the online Yellow Pages for wholesale suppliers in your product line.
  4. Network with other buyers on wholesale forums.
  5. Use the search engines to search out registers of wholesale companies
  6. Do a search for manufacturers of your product line and contact company to ask who their authorized distributors are.

These are really solid tips for finding wholesale suppliers online. I’ll save my offlilne tips for another post.
